Lightsabers and Blasters for Wii Coming Soon

Bensussen Deutsch & Associates, Inc. (BDA), a leading manufacturer of licensed retail consumer electronics accessories, will soon be offering its new Star Wars Light-Up Lightsabers and Clone Trooper Blaster for Wii!

Licensed by Lucasfilm Ltd. and marketed under BDA's POWER A brand, the POWER A Light-Up Lightsabers are sculpted replicas of the famed weapons used by Anakin Skywalker and Jedi Master Yoda. Designed for use with the Wii Remote, an on/off switch allows players to control the light-up feature of the lightsaber. The Anakin lightsaber is illuminated with a blue glow, while Yoda's has a green glow. The Wii Remote fits safely in the lightsaber handle, which was designed for comfort, enabling players to battle at peak performance levels.

"The lightsaber is the ultimate symbol of a Jedi Knight, and the POWER A Lightsaber will represent the only licensed lightsaber for Wii on the market," said Eric Bensussen, president of BDA. "Players can feel like they are truly part of the action in the game like never before."

The Clone Trooper Blaster will create an authentic Star Wars experience while players battle through perilous missions. Created to accompany the The Clone Wars: Republic Heroes game being released in September, the blaster is designed for use with both the Wii Remote and Nunchuk. When a player encounters an enemy, the blaster's dual-trigger action -- one on the barrel and one on the Nunchuk -- enables quick blasting!

"Inspired by the blasters used in The Clone Wars, the Clone Trooper Blaster upholds the quality and creativity standards of both Nintendo and Lucasfilm," says Bensussen. "As the only licensed Star Wars blaster on the market, players will genuinely feel like they are part of the battle for peace in a galaxy far, far away."

To further add to the experience, the Clone Trooper Blaster includes a bonus sheet of decals, allowing players to create an authentic, personalized look. Some of the stickers help players keep track of the number of battle droids they have defeated, while other battle damage stickers give the blaster a well-earned battered look.

Look for both the POWER A Light-Up Lightsabers and Clone Trooper Blaster this Fall!
