The Cloverfield Paradox.- I've been anxiously waiting a true sequal to Cloverfield....And I'm still waiting. This was a 2 hour long mediocre episode of the Outer Limits with almost no ties whatsoever to the first film except at the very end.

Matinee

By Joe Dante starring John Goodman about a schlocky movie producer in the 60s.  Not a great movie but it had some whimsy.

Special

Michael Rapaport enrolls in a clinical drug trial and becomes convinced the drug gives him super powers, a few good chuckles ensue.

Super

A weird but interesting movie.  Good supporting roles by Kevin Bacon and Ellen Paige.  Since its a James Gunn production also had the familiar faces that appear in all his movies.

Mom and Dad

This movie was good fun.  Another tour de force performance from Mr. Cage.  Special guest appearance by the great Lance "Frank Black" Henriksen.

Geostorm

Some really corny moments ("Wait. Slow down.  What's a geostorm?"), but I've seen movies way worse than this.

Don't Knock Twice

A horror/witch movie that was tracking decent then took an odd other-worldly turn.  Average at best unless you're a big Katee Sackoff fan.

General Zod plays a man having delusions about an impending disaster in this slow-moving drama, or his he???

Belko Experiment

Could be amusing for anyone who works in a corporate office environment.  You'll see some faces from the GotG franchise.

It Comes at Night

A claustrophobic physiological suspense flick starring Joel Edgerton.  Reminded me of a movie from about 10 years back called Right at Your Door.

The Foreigner

Good mix of political intrigue and Jackie Chan action.

Miami Connection (1987)

This is reported to be the grand daddy of all B-Action movies from the 80s.  It's about a group of guys who live together, go to school together, study martial arts together and are in a band together.  Sounds perfect right?  Except for that "Damn gang selling their stupid cocaine."

You can find it on youtube if you want a few chuckles.

The Girlfriend Experience

XXX skank, Sasha Grey, stars in a really boring movie. The only merciful part is that it only runs for 116 mins.  I'm guessing the original cut of the movie was so bad, they tried to make it more interesting by jumping around in the time narrative, but it didn't work.

Ex Machina

Kinda slow, thought it was okay.  I was expecting a bigger twist.

Oblivion

Wanted to see how this compared to "Moon".  It was decent.  Thought there was going to be many plot holes, but it wrapped up just about all of them.
