Overload

I thought it was going to be a little bit of war with lots o' zombies, but it was actually mostly a war movie with some zombies thrown in.

The Meg

It give you what you're expecting.  A big sharking eating peoples and set pieces.

Skyscrapper

It's good if not predictable.

Jurassic World 2

Suffers from the same foibles as Jurassic Park 2.  That being dinosaurs in the "real world" just don't seem to be that interesting.

Sicario 2

Not on the same level as the first, but it was passable.

I saw The Incredibles 2 over the weekend.  And just like almost every other Pixar movie, it was pretty great.  It continues to impress me how Pixar is able to make their movies work on multiple levels so that both kids and adults can take something from the films.  Why it took 14 years to release a follow up?  That's beyond me!

Rampage

Decent action movie, terrible dialogue though.

The Disaster Artist

Pretty funny.  Recommend watching The Room first, if you haven't already.

Saw Black Panther last night. Good movie, not the greatest Marvel movie, but far from the worst.

Black Panther

I'd say it's a mid-pack MCU movie.  The two credits scenes were both uninspiring.

The Shape of Water

Let's say it took some odd turns from a story-telling stand point.

Happy Death Day

A slasher take on the Groundhog Day premise.

Wind River

Reunites two Avengers.  It's a slow boil, but a solid movie.  Reminded me of Hell or High Water tonally.

Steven King.s IT, disappointed in this film, not scary, too many unecessary changes and characters who needed to be fleshed out more. Also because this was only half the story, I felt like I saw only half a movie.

It: Chapter 2 set for September 2019
