Anyone know if the alien Bespin Guard going to be a running change, or should I expect it to be packed with the African-Bespin version?

The version that's shipping with the EMPIRE wave is Sgt. Edian (the AA Bespin guard).  The alien Bespin Guard is Utris M'toc, and that will only be shipping with the EU wave.  That wave has now become a TRU exclusive.

Well it turns out that Willrow has the right arm to HK-50 whereas both the Snowtrooper Concept Art figure AND R2-X2 have the right leg.

So here's a rundown of the parts:

BD48 - Snowtrooper Concept Art - Right Leg
BD49 - AT-AT Driver - Torso
BD50 - Cloud City Wing Guard (Sgt Edian) - Left Arm
BD51 - Luke Skywalker (Snowspeeder Pilot) - Head
BD52 - R2-X2 - Right Leg
BD53 - Willrow Hood - Right Arm
BD54 - Zuckass - Left Leg
BD55 - Snowtrooper (repack) - Left Leg

The remaining four figures in the case are Commander Bacarra, Plo Koon, Agen Kolar and Commander Deviss - they contain a Torso, Head, Right Arm and Left Arm.

So essentially since none of these figures are going to be in the EU Wave (the Cloud City Wing Guard figure will be the Utris M'Toc figure as per Hasbro) - I would think that the total number of Willrow Hood = total number of Concept Snowtroopers = total number of R2-X2 = total number of Snowspeeder Luke = total number of Sgt Edian = total number of Zuckass = total number of AT-AT drivers = total number of repacked Snowtroopers = etc...

The only way Willrow would truly be "short packed" when compared to the other figures in this wave is if the case breakdown was like this:

2x BD48 - Concept Snowtrooper
2x BD49 - AT-AT Driver
2x BD50 - Sgt Edian Cloud City Wing Guard
2x BD51 - Snowspeeder Luke
2x BD52 - R2-X2
1x BD53 - Willrow Hood
2x BD54 - Zuckass
1x BD55 - Snowtrooper (repack)

Where the Snowtrooper repack figure and Willrow Hood had the common part.

So until more case assortments are revealed (which probably isn't going to happen since Hasbro has said that the EU case will be the last case of Legacy figures) - I would say that compared to figures like Agen Kolar, Plo Koon, Commander Deviss and Commander Bacarra who were all previously issued one-per-case in previous assortments - the entire ESB wave is "short packed" since there will be no "second chance" to acquire any of them.

Here's hoping that there are plenty of cases of the ESB wave in the pipeline - I want a mini squad of these new Concept Snowtroopers - the figure rocks!

Not really.  Hasbro has been making a point of issuing droid parts in equal numbers across the basic figure line.  So if one figure is short packed in a case, like Willrow Hood will be, the same droid part will be repacked with some kind of reissue figure that ships with that same wave.  Most often those figures are army builders.

Already there are indications of this many figures in the wave:

WAVE 5 THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK
___  BD47 - Commander Bacara REISSUE
___  BD48 - Snowtrooper (Joe Johnston Concept Art)
___  BD49 - AT-AT Driver
___  BD50 - Cloud City Wing Guard (Bespin Security)
___  BD51 - Luke Skywalker (Snowspeeder Pilot)
___  BD52 - R2-X2
___  BD53 - Willrow Hood
___  BD54 Zuckuss

That's 8 figures.  And it only takes 6 in order to build a droid in the humanoid  form like HK-50.  With that information in mind, it seems very likely that the same part that ships with Willrow Hood is also going to be issued with another figure as well.

The most pointless figure ever made.  If it makes some people happy then that is good but I don't want to hear any bitching when it sits on the pegs for the next 4 years.  Hopefully they'll make him in small numbers so we don't have to see his pudgy gut every time we go to the stores.

The only problem with that is the fact that he'll have 1/6th of HK-50. If you make less of him then that will mean there is that much less of that one part for HK-50.

They all laughed at me when I said I wanted an Ice Cream Man figure.  They called me an idiot, saying there were so many characters that needed to be done before him.  They said, "Who would want a figure of Ice Cream Man?"  I'm not the only one.  Yeah, sure, this will probably be a Yarna-level peg warmer, but I don't care.  I have my Ice Cream Man.  BWAHAHAHAHAHA!

Oh god, I remember that stupid online petition BS for this figure...  ::)

Well, we got a really good Cloud Car pilot back in the OTC line.  It might make for a good reissue.  I've been thinking that Lando without his cloak might be good, from the scenes where he, Leia, Chewie & Threepio are trying to catch Boba Fett with Han Solo.

Lando?  Cloud Pilot?  That would be my top two choices.

Here's the projected lineup for this wave:

WAVE 5 - THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK
___  BD# TBD - Willrow Hood
___  BD# TBD - Luke Skywalker - Snowspeeder pilot
___  BD# TBD - Zuckuss
___  BD# TBD - Ugnaught (version 2)
___  BD# TBD - Bespin Guard *
___  BD# TBD
___  BD# TBD
___  BAF - Protocol Droid TBD

Hasbro has commented that the second Ugnaught that they revealed earlier this year would be added into this wave.  And a few figures have been confirmed, with more to be revealed at Comic Con.  What are you hoping to see from this wave?
