Saw this last night.  I'm familiar with the original, but have never seen it straight through.

It was a good movie, nothing outstanding in any aspect really.  Although it was interesting to see some of the ways they "realized" some of the characters like Charon, etc.

Io is a nice piece.  Never gets old either....

I still love the Original the best, but this version was a good modern interpretation.
That says allot for how far Ray's vision was ahead of its time.

I purposely did NOT see it in 3d. I knew it wasn't going to be a good as Avatar.
And if 3d isn't perfect it can for sure take away from the film.

Anyway I really did enjoy the movie. A great modern take on it with great use
of modern day special effects. Casting was good too. It had a nice blend of styles
somewhere between 300 and LOTR.

Lastly it was good to see Bubo make it into the movie even if only for a few seconds.

I saw in a tv segment that Clash Of The Titans was actually shot conventionally and was converted to 3D.  I guess the studios think that 3D presentation is bringing in so much more at the box office with higher ticket prices that they're going to push for more 3D releases, whether the filmmakers intended for the movies to be 3D or not.

I should have seen the warning when they pushed this movie back so they can convert it to 3D.

Sequel?  I dunno.  I think this version is okay, not great.  I still like the original one.

I saw this in 2D on Saturday night - it was pretty entertaining. I found myself comparing it to the original and how the story differed. The weird part about it is that they sorta set it up where they could develop a sequel should they so choose. I guess that's the point these days, if a movie does well enough then it will be getting a sequel in a couple of years.

Apparently the sequels are already written, according to this SCI-FI WIRE ARTICLE.

Kinda funny how the worked in the mechanical owl from the first one, that made me laugh in the theater.

I agree with David - I think for this movie if you want to see it, just save a few dollars and check it out in 2D.

Save your money Chris on 3D.  This is a prime example why we shouldn't watch movie in 3D just because it's 3D.  Saw it tonight and wished I have watched it 2D instead.  Compare to Avatar and Alice in Wonderland, this is lame.  The worst thing is the trailers for future 3D movies coming out this summer.  Not a single one worth to watch in 3D.  That's a shame too because this will kill the 3D before it even gets a chance to really take off.  All the movie studios are so greedy now and this will hit them back hard.

I'm definitely interested in seeing this.  Hopefully some time next week I'll make it to the theater.

Saw this tonight at an 8:00 show (in 2D)....pretty decent movie, it was only 100 minutes or so, kinda short for this type of movie these days, but probably a good move.

Are they going to digitally insert a cleft into Worthington's chin to make him look as ugly as Harry Hamilin??

Totally looking forward to this! I loved ray's original which was way ahead of its time. It should be amazing to see it realized with today's special effects.
