The ending was crap! What a huge disappointment. Almost as bad as X-Files.

Where did that damn polar bear come from?
They expalined this, they were doing experements with the bears when they got out. I guess they didn't feel the need to look for it.

I watched the finale. I loved the first 2 hours, but the final half hour in the alternate reality was complete trash the way it ended. I think the writers did a major cop-out because they painted themselves into a corner.

I agree.  I didnt like the fact that they gave the impression, some died before others but they all ended up in the same place at the end because they were all important to each other?  So if that time was finally the moment when everyone was dead, where the hell was the little kid (michaels son)?  He didnt do anything bad.  Michael wasnt there for obvious reasons but why not the kid?  I assume he was still alive?  Didnt see whitmore's kid in there either.

Also, why didnt Ben go into the church?  He didnt feel comfortable I guess?  So confusing??

So they all really were on the island but some got off, some died there, some died back home but all met up together later because the most important times in their lives were on the island?

Sorry, need a better explanation, they jumped all over the place in the last episode!

Its worth watching the series I think, but the end did feel like it was just kind of like the writers didnt know where to go with it. I dont think they planned on it going this far.
Personally, I was looking for more answers, reasons why things happened.

****Spoiler alert****
1- Why did the smoke monster exist? What was that supposed to represent?
2- Where did that damn polar bear come from?
3- What exactly was the light and how did whoever sealed it know how to do that, what were the writings on it etc.?

Just too much to list here, it just didnt add up for me.

I didn't watch LOST, but my wife and I have been contemplating getting all of the seasons on DVD/Blu-Ray and watching the series all the way through.

I might reconsider that if I hear that the ending really didn't "end" things very well.

I think LOST was one of the shows where even the writers were not sure where it was going or where it would end up.  I'm still trying to understand the purpose of multiple time lines, the whole religious/spiritual aspects of it.  I think they should have stuck with the scientific approach, keeping things modern day instead of going back, forward and sideways.  Despite all of this, I enjoyed the show and still can't believe I invested six years of my life to it.  :o

I'm still....well...Lost!  :-\
I guess I was waiting for a huge gigantic ah-ha moment.
It wasn't bad though but I still have allot of questions.

So what did everyone think of the final episode??
Disapointed, happy? Can we talk about this yet, has everyone seen the final episode?
