The matte paintings were absolutely amazing.  I had no idea that even the Falcon was part of the matte painting for that Cloud City landing platform scene.  I had always thought that they just moved the Falcon from the Echo Base set to a new set for the Cloud City scene.  Lo and behold, they just used the matte painting!

That was very cool, thanks for posting, Nick!  I really liked the shots of the matte paintings - those always fascinated me.
