Check out this article about how Kevin Feige struck the deal with Sony to bring Spider-man in to the Marvel Cinematic Universe:

A Black Widow movie now appears to be in development.  A screenwriter has been hired, but the project has not yet been greenlit.

I am half torn on this news.  While I love the idea of all Marvel under one roof, I also want certain characters remain true to themselves such as Deadpool.  A Disney Deadpool movie won't be the same.

Check out this news:

Disney to Buy 21st Century Fox Assets for $52.4 Billion in Historic Hollywood Merger.

So what does this mean?  Well, 21st Century Fox owns the rights to some significant Marvel properties like the X-Men and that extended universe, as well as the Fantastic Four.  With Disney acquiring 21st Century Fox, they're now positioned to incorporate the X-Men and FF into the Disney/Marvel studios developed Marvel Cinematic Universe.  And I would definitely like to see how Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige will work towards incorporating those characters into the MCU at long last!

Bob Igor says they can do it.

Word has it that trailers for both Doctor Strange and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 will be shown at SDCC 2016.  It should make for a great Marvel Studios panel!

Marvel Studios held a significant press event today.  The subject matter?  Where does the Marvel Cinematic Universe go from here?  Check out THIS EW POSTING FOR DETAILS.  Here's the rundown of projects slated for Phase 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe:

CAPTAIN AMERICA 3 - CIVIL WAR - MAY 6th, 2016

DR. STRANGE - NOV. 4th, 2016

GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY 2 - MAY 7th, 2017

THOR - RAGNAROK - JULY 28th, 2017

BLACK PANTHER - NOV 3rd, 2017

AVENGERS - INFINITY WAR - PT 1 - MAY 4th, 2018

CAPTAIN MARVEL - JULY 6th, 2018

AVENGERS - INFINITY WAR - PT 2 - MAY 3rd, 2019

INHUMANS - NOV 2nd, 2018

-Interesting notes?

CAPTAIN AMERICA 3 - CIVIL WAR will feature Chris Evans returning as Cap, Robert Downey Jr as Iron Man/Tony Stark, and will introduce the Black Panther who will be played by Chadwick Bozeman (42, Get On Up).  Bozeman will go on to star in a BLACK PANTHER film slated for release in 2017.

DR STRANGE - Despite casting rumors regarding Benedict Cumberbatch, the star for this project has yet to be locked down.

Also of note?  Rumors have been circulating about a BLACK WIDOW solo film.  Nothing to that end has been announced, but Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige stated that Black Widow plays a crucial role in all of the upcoming Avengers movie projects.  Additionally, there has been no announcement of a Hulk solo film starring Mark Ruffalo.

Robert Downey Jr has been making the rounds promoting his new movie, The Judge.  Sure enough, the subject of Iron Man came up in interviews.  Notably, with both David Letterman and Ellen.  On Letterman he said that it wasn't happening, but he would be appearing in other Marvel Cinematic Universe projects.  But on Ellen he said that he's in negotiations with Marvel Studios.  So who knows what to believe?
