Anyone know what is next on the table for 3.75 inch force awakens line?  (or maybe I missed a recent post on this already).    Seems like we have hit a lag in new stuff coming out.

It looks like a wave of REBELS figures, like Maul, Leia, 7th Sister and Kanan in Stormtrooper disguise.

Got my son a rebels old man Rex today. He says to me "dad, how come I can't bend the arms and legs on the new figures?"  So funny how he noticed the difference. He plays with these and hates that you can't really pose them. Hoping they change this and stop cheesing out.

There are FOUR separate assortments as designated by the cardbacks:

-SNOW
-JUNGLE (I've also seen FOREST as a designator)
-DESERT
-SPACE

The accessory pieces for each themed cardback combine together to make a single larger weapon/accessory.

As for WAVES?  Here's what I've been able to figure out for the first two waves that have been released so far:

SNOW/DESERT WAVE 1
- First Order Flametrooper
-Finn (Jakku)
-Rey (Starkiller Base)
-First Order Stormtrooper
-E5 Darth Vader
-Constable Zuvio

JUNGLE/SPACE WAVE 1
-KYLO REN
-CAPTAIN PHASMA
-E5 LUKE SKYWALKER
-POE DAMERON
-FIRST ORDER TIE FIGHTER PILOT
-RESISTANCE TROOPER

SNOW/DESERT WAVE 2
-First Order Snowtrooper
-First Order Stormtrooper (Carry forward)
-X-Wing Pilot Asty
-Sarco Plank
-Kanan Jarrus (Rebels) (REBELS line carry forward)
-Ezra Bridger (Rebels) (REBELS line carry forward)

JUNGLE/SPACE WAVE 2
-PZ-4CO
-Goss Toowers
-General Hux
-Guavian Enforcer
-Kylo Ren (Carry forward with new B-A-W part)
-Inquisitor - Rebels Season 1 (Carry forward from REBELS line)

I've seen the Inquisitor.  And that's a clear indicator that the full wave has hit.

Ok so what is the difference between this and the Snow Desert Wave ? They are calling both wave 2?  I am trying to figure out if they are coming together or separate?

The new figures being offered in a 5 POA format is definitely unappealing to me.  And I definitely look at it as a step backwards for the line.

Personally?  I'm looking forward to the WalMart exclusive Black Series figures of characters from THE FORCE AWAKENS.  I am not pleased that they're a WalMart exclusive.  And a price point of $12.83 per figure is tough to swallow.  But word out of NYCC today from Hasbro states that they are looking to see how well the WalMart Black Series line sells.  If it sells really well, then that might offer some hope for figures with premium articulation at a higher price point.

Where I think Hasbro failed is in pitching this to ALL retailers from the outset.  The high volume numbers of figures that a full movie year line presents could have brought their costs down because the volume involved.

Apologize if this isn't the right thread for this.

I opened up one of the basic 3.75 stormtroopers last night and I have to say I am a bit disappointed how cheap these are done.  They don't bend at the elbows or knees and seem to be a bit shorter than the previous 3.75 action figures.

Seems to me the basic figures are just going to be cheaply done so they can focus more on the black series and getting more of your money.  If you are opening these up and looking to display or put in dioramas, its probably a waste of time buying the basic figures unless you are army building.   I haven't opened any others yet but I assume from the looks of them that they are all the same.  Anyone else notice this?

A number of stores all over the country have been leaking figures.  I think it's because of some overnight stocking clerks who are just disregarding the street date information on the shipping boxes.

To further complicate things, there are now rumors circulating of 3.75" figures that are SA versions of some TFA characters, and will be possible exclusives.

what stores are leaking these?  I saw the display at walmart in boonton but only figures left were Leia Bousch and Red clone trooper plus a few chewbaccas.  Wondering if the new ones were there and gone or never put out?

The Force Awakens - 3.75" Basic Figure Discussion
« Reply #1 on: September 02, 2015, 08:25:50 AM »

3.75" Basic Figures from THE FORCE AWAKENS have been steadily leaking out over the past couple of weeks.  And with FORCE FRIDAY just 2 days away it seems worth discussing what people think of the new Basic Figure line.

-CHARACTER SELECTION:  We've seen some of the new characters that have been revealed in the trailers for THE FORCE AWAKENS:  Finn, Rey, Poe Dameron, Chewbacca, BB-8, Kylo Ren and the First Order Stormtroopers.  But we've yet to see the BIG THREE who are returning from the OT.  I'm sure we're going to see them at some point, but what are your thoughts on their absence from the figure line so far?

-ARTICULATION:  This seems to be the elephant in the room.  What about the articulation levels of these new figures?  It looks like Hasbro is abandoning premium levels of articulation and we'll be getting 5 POA figures in the new line.  What are your thoughts here?  Do you go all in on the new figures, or perhaps wait to see if Hasbro comes around and offers up SA figures down the line?
