I saw an SH Figuarts Batman figure at the ThinkGeek store.  Just from looking at the packaged figure it was really impressive.  But the price will give you some sticker shock.  That Batman figure was $59, and that's a pretty common price point for this line.

Are these 3.75 inches or 6?

6".  They are the same size as Star Wars Black Series and Marvel Legends figures

Ordered a S.H. Figuarts Mace Windu figure from eBay (about $53 shipped).  The articulation is a complete work of art.  I can't believe how many moving pieces there are - it's more than I've ever seen in a figure before.  The Jedi robes are very pliable which enables the figure to move his arms with a greater range of motion than the Black Series Obi-Wan figure.  When coupled with the insane articulation, you can get pretty much any pose out there.

The sculpt is fantastic and has two different heads (one scowling face, one neutral/angry/normal Sam J. face - yes, the face exudes all three emotions).  The sculpt blends/hides the articulation very well.  Areas like the elbows are normally an issue for characters with loosely clothed arms, but this figure was sculpted to almost always have a seamless articulation point there.

This figure also feels much sturdier and more substantial than the other (older) Figuarts figures I have.  He scales great with Star Wars Black Series figures as well.

Given the additional head, multiple hands, and excellent paint apps, not to mention the amazing sculpt/articulation, I'm very happy with my purchase.  I don't think I'm going to go all out on this line, but I will definitely pick up more (such as the inevitable Boba Fett).

I haven't purchased any of the Star Wars Figuarts line, but I have a couple random Power Rangers (picked them up cheap on clearance from BBTS for customizing purposes) as well as the Super Mario Bros. Mario figure.  The figures I have are very well constructed and sturdy.  The Power Rangers figure is a bit shorter than normal 6" (1/12th) scale figures such as Star Wars Black Series and Marvel Legends, but pictures I've seen of the Star Wars figures look like they are in the compatible scale.

In my experience, the figures are obviously more fragile than Black Series/Marvel Legends, but the articulation/range of motion is far greater.  Some of the joints can be more complicated than we are normally used to (such as the hips and shoulders), but it allows for that greater range of motion.

In terms of the Star Wars figures, from what I've seen, the level of articulation is fantastic and strikes an incredible balance between sculpting and range of motion, especially with the new Mace Windu figure.

Since these figures are about 3x the cost of Star Wars Black Series, I've been holding off purchasing them.  I still think the Bandai model kits from eBay are the best bang for your buck, but obviously require a bit more work on the user's end (assembly, paint).

Images of an AOTC Obi-Wan Kenobi have surfaced online

This line looks pretty cool, and can definitely give Hasbro's 6" Black Series some competition at this scale.  And it also seems to be including a lot more PT era characters.  But the prices that I've been seeing are in the $50 range as base prices go.  Is anyone here buying into this line?  I'd certainly like to hear some first hand feedback about these figures.
